Melinda Kay Carlson, 62, of West Salem, IL passed away on January 7, 2025 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL after an illness.
Melinda was born on February 7, 1962 in Carmi, IL to Charles and Patricia (Walker) Carlson. She loved animals, especially horses. She loved to ride anything with a motor. Melinda had a heart of gold and she never met a stranger. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Melinda is survived by her father Charles (Linda Kay) Carlson; 2 brothers Jeff (Bethany Jones) Carlson, and Rick (Kim) Carlson; 2 nieces and 9 nephews.
She was preceded by her mother Pat; a brother James in 1965; and her grandparents.
Visitation for Melinda Carlson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery in West Salem, IL. Please wear casual dress.
